Cookie Policy

Effective date: January 2026 Last updated: January 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how DKB Advocates uses cookies and similar technologies on https://dkbadvocates.in (the "Website"). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies — pixels, tags, local storage, and session-recording scripts — work in comparable ways. Together, they let a website remember things, count visitors, and understand how pages are used.

Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by an outside service loaded on our pages are called third-party cookies. Most of the cookies on this Website are third-party cookies.

2. Cookies used on this Website

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or profiling. There is no advertising network on this Website. We use the following:

a) Strictly necessary

Set by Purpose
Google reCAPTCHA Protects the enquiry form from spam and automated submissions. It analyses device and browser signals, IP address and interaction patterns to judge whether you are human.
DKB Advocates Records that you have accepted the entry disclaimer, so the pop-up does not reappear on every page.

These are required for the Website to work as intended. If you block them, the enquiry form may fail to submit.

b) Analytics and performance

Set by Purpose What it collects
Google Analytics Tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, how they arrived, and on what device. IP address, device and browser, referring source, pages viewed, session duration
Microsoft Clarity Shows us how visitors actually interact with a page — where they click, how far they scroll, where they get stuck. Clarity may record your session and generate heatmaps. Clicks, scrolling, cursor movement, page interactions, session recordings, device and browser data

About session recording: Microsoft Clarity reconstructs a visual playback of your visit. We use this only to find usability problems. Clarity is configured to mask text entered into form fields, so the content of what you type into the enquiry form is not captured in the recording. We do not use Clarity to identify individual visitors.

c) Embedded third-party content

Service When it loads Purpose
Google Maps On pages showing our office location Displays the map
YouTube On pages containing an embedded video Plays the video

These services may set their own cookies when the content loads on the page, whether or not you click on it. They are controlled by Google, not by us.

3. Third-party privacy policies

The services above process data under their own terms. Their policies are:

  • Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA, Maps, YouTube) — Google Privacy Policy
  • Microsoft (Clarity) — Microsoft Privacy Statement

We recommend reading them if you want to know how those companies use the data they collect.

4. How to control cookies

You can control or delete cookies at any time:

  • Browser settings. Every major browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) lets you block cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing ones. Look under Settings → Privacy.
  • Google Analytics opt-out. Google publishes a browser add-on that prevents Analytics from collecting data on any website.
  • Microsoft Clarity. Clarity honours browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals where they are enabled.
  • Do Not Track / GPC. Turning these on in your browser signals to sites that you do not wish to be tracked.

What happens if you block them: you can still read every page of this Website. However, embedded maps and videos may not load, and the enquiry form may not submit, because reCAPTCHA requires its cookies to run.

5. Consent

By continuing to use this Website after being shown our cookie notice, you consent to the use of the cookies described in Section 2(b) and 2(c). Strictly necessary cookies are set regardless, as the Website cannot function without them.

You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies and blocking them in your browser settings.

6. Changes

We may update this Policy if we add or remove a service. The current version is the one on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top.
